Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck finalize their divorce after 2 years of marriage
"Bennifer 2.0" is officially no more.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finalized their divorce, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY.
Lopez, 55, first filed to divorce Affleck, 52, in Los Angeles Superior Court on Aug. 20, the second anniversary of the estranged couple's Georgia wedding ceremony.
The couple lists their date of separation as April 26, and that their marriage has ended due to "irreconcilable differences." The singer, who took on Affleck's last name, has also had her legal name restored to Jennifer Lynn Lopez.
Lopez nor Affleck retained independent attorneys in the dissolution of their marriage, choosing one law office to serve as mediator.
The "exact nature and extent" of the couple's assets are "unknown" but "will be determined," according to one filing, and neither party will receive spousal support.
USA TODAY has reached out to reps for Affleck and Lopez for comment.
